In the beginnning

I first signed up for Eve Online back on December 26, 2005. The subscription was Christmas present to myself. It looked like an intriguing game and even though I didn't know a single soul that was also playing the game I figured there was enough to keep a solo player occupied. Back then, there wasn't near as much information about the game on the internet and most of what I learned was from reading corp chat in the starter corporation. It wasn't all that helpful, but it was better than nothing. After I had played for about 6 months, I took the advice of many and joined a player corporation after I received an invite. It wasn't a bad corp, but it wasn't very helpful either. After a month of paying corp taxes and receiving no benefit, not even comradeship since no one in corp was ever online when I was, I quit and went back to the starter corp. Then I ran into a coworker who had been playing for quite a while and had his own corp so I joined that one and things were good. That is until real life got in the way in January 2007 and I had no time to play anymore. But real life has a way of changing and I got back in the game in May of 2008. I rejoined my old corp and my, how things had changed. They now had a POS in 0.0 space, they were also in an alliance and there were plenty of war decs to deal with as well. I had a lot of catching up to do.
